About the team

With support from the FA, ASJFC have started their very own girls football team. Football is now officially the biggest female team sport in England. Last season over 147,000 female players competed in affiliated league and cup competitions – a figure which has risen from just 10,400 in 1993, when records started.

The involvement of females in football also extends beyond playing. We want to increase the number of female coaches, referees and administrators.

About the Team

We have 23 registered girls from the ages of 10 through to 14. We are not currently in a league but will be continuing to try and arrange friendlies wherever possible. The ethos is to come along and have fun - all girls are welcome no matter what their abilities. As you can see from the photos, we have recently got a new kit!
